We’re delighted to receive your application and truly appreciate your interest in becoming part of our program in Linz. It means a lot to us that you are considering sharing your music and ideas with our community.
We carefully review every submission and take the time to get to know each project. Our goal is to create meaningful opportunities for artists while maintaining a diverse and inspiring program. While we receive many applications and cannot guarantee a slot for everyone, we do our best to find a suitable opportunity whenever possible.
Our work is driven by a passion for supporting both emerging and established artists, and we are always excited to discover new sounds, collaborations, and artistic approaches. We aim to build connections between local and international musicians and to contribute to a vibrant cultural scene in Linz.Thank you again for your application, your trust, and your creativity. We look forward to listening to your project and hopefully welcoming you to one of our stages.

"…An initiative in this sense potentially benefits all students of the JIM, as well as, beyond genres and disciplines, many other students at the Bruckner University. It leads to enhanced perception, thus promoting the university's good reputation in Linz and beyond, and generally revitalizes the cultural life of the city.”
Uni Prof. Christian Kronreif
“I am truly delighted for JIM, for all our students, and for Linz to see this ambitious initiative come to life. Emerging from the spirit of the institute and driven by outstanding students, it creates a strong foundation for the artistic quality of our young musicians to be more consciously recognized by a wider local audience. This initiative not only strengthens Linz’s reputation as home to one of the most innovative jazz institutes, but also as a city with one of the most creative and vibrant jazz scenes in Austria. After all, studying music in a place where it is not truly lived is like swimming on dry land—and music without listeners is like salt without the sea.”— JIM Institute Director
